WORKING FOR US
LISTENING AND LEADING
Kate has been listening to residents' concerns and fighting for us in Hartford. From paid Family Medical Leave, to protections of pre-existing conditions to helping residents during the coronavirus pandemic, we know she's there for us.
“Serving in the legislature is really about serving the people of our district—helping them navigate the state bureaucracy, getting their unemployment benefits, keeping their homes, and bringing their ideas to the House floor to improve lives.”
– Kate Rotella
WORKING FOR YOU
Kate Rotella brings results to our district:
Was able to get the Stonington’s share of the Mashantucket Pequot/Mohegan grant fund re-instated.
Secured a state grant of $145,000 for the Stonington Free Library's renovations to make the library ADA accessible, so all members of our community can easily access such a wonderful resource.
Brought $600,000 in state bonding to the district for much-needed Route 1 sidewalks in Pawcatuck.
Working as part Tourism Committee, Rep. Rotella helped reopen the Welcome Center in North Stonington, making our area more visible to travelers.
Fought to preserve the Community Investment Act, supporting agriculture, open space, affordable housing, and historic preservation. She helped add another $1 million in funding to sustain our local dairy farmers.
